I still check it, more out of habit than anything else. But whenever something is said.. it's just the same old things that get said every time. Yes, this place is dead, and sadly, I don't think it'll ever come back to life. But it's nice to know you guys are still out there, and we haven't lost each other completely.
I have no place constructive to add. I really don't go on many social websites anymore. (That, and my first thought was 'Oh, facebook maybe' and then my second thought was 'you idiot what on Earth are you thinking')
I know a site that'd allow me to create a petsite system in which we can battle, feed and train pets. Though, that'd require me to draw all of the pets and I simply don't have time for that with the exams coming up. I could manage the layout and set-up, no problems there, but time dislikes me.
Maybe someday, guys.. Maybe..
My entire class plays Plants vs Zombies. I have it on both my Mac and my PC. It's a fun game indeed, but I prefer zombie horror.
Like using a sniper rifle to turn zombies their heads into a storm of bloody parts. It's the best thing ever.
Oh, by the way.. I'm slowly working on a site where we can retreat to if we wish. It'll have a forum, though less advanced than this, but more pets and the option for users to send in their pets so they'd get adopted. And on top of that, a small storyline.
It won't be as good as the Isle, but it's all I can do, actually.
More than a forum, actually. Compare it to a piczo site but with the option to catch/adopt your own creatures and battle them. Stuff like that. So far, I'm done with the layout and I need to add items and pets, though I might not be able to do all the art myself.
Does anyone care to help? Anyone that can make pets with a transparent background. It'll all be community driven, anyone can do something.
I'm probably going to start with around 10 adoptable creatures, so even if you can't draw, you're free to send me a message with ideas for creatures. I'll try to keep them dragon-themed.
And yes, I'll accept friend requests for a short while.
As for anyone that does have drawing skills and Photoshop/SAI/GIMP/whatever other drawing program, feel free to draw creatures or items to show me via messages. If enough are willing to help, I'll make a thread of my own to discuss all this. (:
The Isle is a website with a light colour theme (white, grey, blue), but I prefer working with darker colours on websites. Of course, I can work with any colours, but I don't know what you guys prefer. Do you prefer lighter colours on websites or darker colours?
I need this info for the small site I'm working on.
Well, if you want, you can make a few/one pet(s) for the site. Try to keep it around 210px height and 230px width.
Or you could try thinking about a story for the site. I wanted to make it a sort of distorted vision of the Isle, where the Islanders are there, but not always what they seem. They let pets battle for them, but the reason behind those battles remains uncertain. Perhaps it's the future of the Islanders? A darker future.
Idea for the story:
The Islanders had some kind of enemy they needed to defeat, so they trained pets to fight. The enemy went into hiding, biding its time. Everyone wanted his or her pet to be the one to defeat the enemy, and eventually everyone just completely forgot about the enemy. And they kept battling the pets, but they forgot why. And one day, the enemy will awaken...
So, the classic evil vs good?
I don't really like that. I mean, my charrie's classified as evil, so I don't feel like being evil all the time for the story. Even after the fights would be over and just the pets remain, the plot would lack.. A lot.
Anyone got other suggestions? :u
We used to get slugs crawling across our kitchen floor every night. We'd wake up to these lovely silvery patterns over the floor.
Except my dad once went down in the middle of the night and stepped on one.
In the first house I lived at, we got slugs in our basement all the time. I would put them in a plastic bottle and try to keep them as pets, but it never worked out. They died in like, five minutes. D: I got really mad at my brother once because he went around with salt killing them.
My mum tried to rescue a big ol' spider the other day (my sister and I will just set the cats on them if we see them.). She dropped it, and before she could pick it up again, another - even bigger - spider pounced on it and killed it. It was pretty hideous.
We had a Wolf Spider in our bathroom and my mom screamed and tried to jump on the toilet. Her being really heavy and having a horrible sense of balance ruined that plan. Then my step-dad came in and squished it, so we had a giant spider splatter on our bathroom floor until we eventually decided to clean it up. (it was too disgusting for any of us to clean willingly)
I was running around the side of the house once when I was younger and almost ran into what I think might've been an orb spider. At the back end of our house, we've got a barn about a foot away, and there's hedge on one side of the path running between the two buildings. Well Mr. Spider had set up his huge web in between the bushes and the barn. I was not tooo happy to almost have a spider on my face.
*amused* At one point I watched it enough to pretty much say everyone's quote right on time. And I wasn't implying that you'd stolen the creatures, I was just noting the fact that the two are rather similiar.
It's so annoying how all the new ideas seem taken up, and yet there's always something somewhere out there that could pass as a new concept. :/
Ever read Cirque Du Freak? It's a vampire series but it's a good vampire series.
I love them! I own all the books, including the extras you get from the Scholastic Book Club! Everytime I would get a couple books, I'd get stickers to put on this large Deltora map, a model of a deltora creature, and collectable cards with illustrations of the creatures and a description from the books on the back!
I just got my mom to order it for me off of Amazon.com. It must have come out after my membership expired due to getting all the books at the time.
If I could choose a dragon to be...Dang that's hard. Um...I'd want to be a Diamond. Because, first of all, diamond is pretty. And second, it has a large territory that would be great to explore!
Really? That's my favorite creature, too, because I like monsters that are small, but look cool and have sharp claws and teeth. Is there a difference between the Vraals and the "green beasts?" Or are they the same?
You mean the three-toed ones? I looked at the picture of one, and I'd say they are different creatures. The one with three toes is a brighter green than a Vraal and has WAY shorter claws. There's also many other differences I'm too lazy to type out.
The teeth are different, too. And it said that Adin shot it with two arrows in its throat; Vraals have scales which would never let that happen. I'm guessing that the green beasts were early prototypes of the Vraals.
Actually I thought they were what happened to dragon's eggs when their nests weren't lined with human hair... Because it said he forgot that dragons lined their nests with human hair, and if it were a bird from another land that comment wouldn't make sense to me. He called it Ak-baba because it resembled a bird his servants described to him but the ones he had got bigger or something.
Plus Marc's illustration showed a dragon in the egg.
Or I could be wrong. xD Mrph. I'll go read the book again.
My fav part was...The part with the Guardian. When they were trying to figure out his name. I totally freaked out when they thought his name was Endon. (It was Endon wasn't it? I haven't read it in ages)
Yes. It's on this channel called the Hub. We have it set to record the ones we haven't seen. It's OK. I think it's more fun to hint at what's going to happen next, cause then my brothers get really impatient and antsy.
I always miss it on T.V., so I was watching episodes of it on Youtube, but the videos were deleted because of copyright infringement or something. I liked the episodes, but I think they hinted too early at Lief and Jasmine's relationship.
Strange, yet it's amazing. If you go to www.onepieceofficial.com you can watch episodes 1 through 16, subbed or dubbed. The episode after that is 59 on that website for whatever reason. I've been watching them on DVD.
"The plot tells the story of Naruto Uzumaki, an adolescent ninja who constantly searches for recognition and aspires to become a Hokage, the ninja in his village that is acknowledged as the leader and the strongest of all."
Copied off of Wikipedia.
Basically, it's about a ninja kid that thinks he's awesome and constantly gets in trouble because no one really likes him, but for some reason, he's the strongest and has a demon sealed inside of him.
Honestly, the show is too long and it gets boring after 5 episodes. Only watch if you're easily amused by over-used jokes and ninjas.
