Time zones can be stupidly-frustratingly-annoyingly stupid, frustrating and annoying if the person you want to talk to is never online because it's midnight.

I live in New Zealand which causes a problem if I want to talk to most people on the 'Isle and so I propose that time zones be abolished so that we can all live in the same time. (This is not a grammatical error by the way.)

But then when it's noon and daytime in America, it will be noon and late at night somewhere else.

Making everyone be on the same time would be rather useful... it would cause less confusions and worry about, "Oh, what's that in my time?" but you couldn't have everyone on the same daytime schedule. As BlueJay says, Americans will sleep when it's dark there, which will be when British folk like myself are awake, etc.

What angers me more than time zones is Daylight Savings Time... that just messes everything up. Time zones are practical, unless you have to frequently call relatives who live in another country.

Ah, a very good point there. It is rather annoying..

And then Daylight Savings isn't supported by all counties either so when everyone else is on DS, Australia doesn't change.

Time zones are inconvienent, but practical in the day time here night time there sort of matter. Daylight Savings is stupid in this day and age when most of us aren't farmers anymore (or is that just us conglomorate loving Americans?). I also hate leap years. They drive me crazy. Why don't we just rearrange the months and make them evenly spaced, and account for those extra hours or whatever in the regular years?

You'd have to rearrange everything.. we'd have to put a whole new timing system in place.
Yes, that's it! Let's go metric with time.

Sure. If we've got enough time to still go to war with each other we've got plenty of time to fix our ridiculous concept of time.

Of course, you realise I'd have to get a new watch then :c

Ohs. Oh no, we can't have that. No, for the sake of your watch, we shall keep time as it is!

My watch and I appreciate that, but we may one day make the sacrifice.

<Snorts in agreement> Time may be completely stupid, but the logic behind it is also completely stupid, but it does keep light in order and makes sure there's enough to go around.
