Well I was just thinking that all of the regulars/veterans of the Isle are in their late teens/early twenty's.
This just popped up when I saw how some of the new people spelled, used grammar etc. This made me think that most of these people are quite likely to be bad at grammar, spelling and all that.Sooooo I decided to make this thread, if anyone has any tips for spelling and grammar why not post it here.
I don't think anyone's quite in their early twenties yet.. Nearly, but not quite.
Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
A lot of people use bad grammar and such on the internet, though, including plenty our age. So that's not a massive factor. It's just something people will pick up if they want to, or are in a community who all use proper grammar.
However, this isn't a bad idea. Just felt like sharing that.
But, if we're looking for tips.. It should be "early twenties", no apostrophe
I'm inclined to say that most of us are probably within a couple years of eighteen.
I have to agree that most of the time poor grammar is because people are too lazy, or out of the habit.
Tips (common sense?) :
Capitalize the letter 'i'.
End sentences in periods.
End questions in question marks.
Start sentenes with capitol letters.
Use apostrophies in contractions or in regards to possesion.
And when spelling, if you're not sure, it's not a bad idea to pull up a word document with spell check.
