Many discussions have debated the return of Admin.
Many posts have pardoned people that have "died" or been "dead."
Now though, is the time to truly ask: "Is the 'Isle still alive?'

Obviously its former, flourishing beauty is not the same, and people seldom visit, but the site still exists... but for how long.

Logging on nowadays, checking "Ye Olde Online Users List" only to find spammers, what hope is left for the 'Isle?

Leave your thoughts, your gratitude that the 'Isle united us, your memories of the good times... or the not so good, share your opinion of your "life" on/in the 'Isle.

I shall start: I love the broken-ness of the creativity page. If anything annoyed me more, it's something that doesn't work AND I want to use it.

The state of the Isle hasn't changed in a long time. The odd post here and there.. I don't even know how long it's been. Out of habit, it's still on my internet rounds, so I actually check it a few times every day... There just seems so little to say these days.

I'm grateful that the Isle gave me the opportunity to meet such wonderful people that I never would have met otherwise.. Back then, I wouldn't have thought someone I simply spoke to online could mean so much to me, even to become one of the most important people to me.

Besides that, I loved the wonderful characters that everyone had, and the RPs we did (I think the silliest ones were my favourite). Though looking back at them - especially the early ones - kill me. xD

Though I didn't play much part in that myself, it was also nice to see the creative sides of people, whether it be through reading their stories or looking at their artwork, and feeling happy for them when you could tell how much they improved, even small amounts. And for the short while it lasted, the art contest was fun, too. It even got me joining in! (hah..)

For the not so good.. there were some turbulent times, sure. Lots of arguments about I don't even remember what. But the Isle got past those and settled again and all was well.

And although it's sad to see this place fall into a lack of management, I'm glad to see that the admin is doing so well for himself, and for all I've said and more I truly am grateful to him for this place.

I don't know if you wanted an essay, but it seems that's what you got xD

Edit: Oh! And a little personal thing... getting all the high scores in the 3x3 cave puzzle slidey thing, until.. oh goodness I'll have to check, Anime Gal?.. snuck in there and got one I just couldn't beat out.

2nd edit: Yep, Anime_gal95. I remember having fun talking to her about that.. or complaining I couldn't push her score down xD

Yeah I always check back whenever I can, since the people that i met here were some of the nicest, funniest etc people ever.

P.s. The RPS where soooo much fun =]

The Isle's a bit dead, sure, but I still love it. Like Glic, I usually check it daily too. I loved all the RPs and the discussions, and wish that it'd be more active seeing as I'd love to plan more projects with the people here. Alas.
There's not all that much to say or it'll sound like a funeral, to be honest. :u

It's not like we're dead, the Isle's just less active. We can still do other stuff and contact eachother in different ways.
Glic    Sep 27, 2011 at 05:00 AM
Wow.. I ramble even more than usual when I'm tired. Still, it was nice to think back about all that stuff.

But you're right, Draca.. didn't mean it to sound like a funeral.

And at least there's not the worry of coming home after school and finding 30+ new topics to sift through xD
Draca    Sep 28, 2011 at 10:59 AM
You don't ramble, you voiced your opinions well.

But finding 30+ new topics is fun. ):
Ohwell, we still have MSN and such to talk on.
Glic    Sep 28, 2011 at 02:26 PM
Fun, but it took an awful lot of time to sort through, especially if people were still talking xD
dragonatic    Sep 28, 2011 at 09:54 PM
Although less people visit nowadays, we have a tighter group of friends I think. Committed, dedicated users that stay by the 'Isle. If Admin ever returns, we'll be right here waiting for him!
Draca    Sep 29, 2011 at 04:19 AM
A tighter group of friends? More like a scattered group of people that know eachother. With no events to do, it's hard to bond and have fun, y'know.

I doubt Admin'll return, he has far more important things to tend to. You'll just have to wait until I have enough knowledge to create a site of my own.
Glic    Sep 29, 2011 at 12:28 PM
And when that day comes.. life will be awesome.
dragonatic    Sep 29, 2011 at 07:29 PM
Will we be alive at that point in time? Just NEVER say it'll be finished "soon" or "very soon"!
Draca    Sep 30, 2011 at 12:23 AM
Of course I cannot place a timestamp on that, it all depends on my education and how much free time I'll have..

But guys, chill, we still have the Isle to talk on. Sure, it's inactive, but we aren't.

What I want to know is how this site managed to survive. I mean, obviously there must be some sort of maintenance or fees that apply. Has Admin not got an e-mail saying "You should visit your site"? Most sites need renewal or something!
Glic    Oct 3, 2011 at 07:53 AM
He's continuing to pay for the site because he knows we still come here and it's not really all that much. But he has long since admitted he doesn't have the time to maintain this place.. which is fair enough. It's not like he's just forgotton about us.
dragonhatcher    Oct 4, 2011 at 06:18 PM
Even if no one stays on the site, I'll still go on it whenever I can.
dragonatic    Oct 6, 2011 at 06:12 PM
And so he is also not going to gift the responsibility to another person? It doesn't make a lot of sense...
Draca    Oct 7, 2011 at 05:23 AM
Guys, complaining about it won't help. Just be glad the Isle's still online. Besides, we don't have to do nothing. We can make little sites or a forum of our own. There's nothing stopping us. We can even spend some time on other sites as the group we are. Just sayin'
blueclaw    Oct 16, 2011 at 09:14 PM
My answer to all this is tuesday....that is all =p
skywing    Nov 1, 2011 at 09:29 PM
La Dee Dah, we meet each other, we had (and in some cases are still having) good times, and life goes on.

Draca    Nov 3, 2011 at 08:27 AM
I think everyone should come join me on Chicken Smoothie, I could really use more intelligent people to talk to there. Plus, the artistic community's lovely there.
dragonatic    Nov 7, 2011 at 04:56 PM
Why did the 'Isle completely die the other week? It wouldn't let me on!
blueclaw    Nov 8, 2011 at 06:06 AM
I have no idea, I thought the site had been shut down and was panicking thinking I wouldn't be able to talk to you all no more =[
Draca    Nov 8, 2011 at 11:30 AM
Server problem, probably. :u
skywing    Nov 17, 2011 at 09:49 PM
Here's news of the good the isle's done if anyone's interested.

Lightwing and I met in person last weekend. We had good times goofing off on a playground in the town where she's going to college.

blueclaw    Nov 18, 2011 at 03:16 PM

dragonatic    Nov 19, 2011 at 02:53 AM
